Stock Count

A physical count of all medicines in a pharmacy to verify quantities match the system records.

A stock count (also called a stocktake or physical inventory) involves counting every medicine on the shelf and comparing it to what the inventory system shows. Discrepancies indicate losses, theft, or recording errors. Pharmacies typically do full stock counts monthly and spot counts more frequently for high-value or controlled items. Musawo helps you reconcile physical counts against system quantities.
